Freelance Graphic Design

Shadow Typography

A series of typographic experiments using 3D letters and shadows. Each letter has been hand made out of card over several day and then photographed in a photography studio to create the desired effect.

Folding Type

Dimensional Folding folding two dimensional letters through the third dimension to make them legible. This is a piece of experimental typography and is part of my Self Initiated Project based on shape and space.

3D Typography

This is a 3D type experiment, I have used form board to create a layered alphabet, Each letter has three depths one cut into the surface, a base surface and a finial layer on top to add detail to the letter and the white surfaces enhances the shadow.

Isaac Newton's Third Law of Motion

These stamps are based on Isaac Newton's great scientific contributions, the Universal Law of Gravitation and his Three Laws of Motion, important and highly used physic theories. The stamps represent scientific diagrams and show the equations that makes up the theories. These stamps are part of my RSA competition entry, which was based on British firsts, and what better of a subject than Isaac Newton.

Fisherman's Tales is my ISTD entry for the 'Fakery' brief, Fisherman's Tales is a book that I produced with the intent of misleading the viewers intentions, tricking the viewer into believing the book is about a angler fisherman when it is really about a angler fish, the books meaning becomes fake fulfilling the brief. The book takes a traditional approach to typography and would be printed by letter press.
